Student Welfare
Harris Garrard Academy has a range of policies and procedures in place (see below) that ensure the welfare of all of our students. Several of these policies set out expectations about good behaviour. This includes good learning behaviour around the academy and in lessons and also rules about how you communicate and behave appropriately towards other students and staff. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the welfare of your child please contact:

Reporting an absence
Excellent attendance is the expectation at Harris Garrard Academy. The expectation is that students attend every day unless they are unwell, in which case parents or carers are expected to contact the academy before 9am.
We require that you call every day of your child’s absence. If we do not receive a reason for your child’s absence we will try to contact you to find out why your child is not at school.
To report an absence contact Ly Nguyen, Attendance Officer.
