Susie, Year 8

Before I joined Harris Garrard, I thought the expectations would be sky‑high. On my first day, I was surprised by how much work we had to do – but the teachers made everything feel manageable and even enjoyable. Year 7 went by so quickly! Now that I’m in Year 8, things are more challenging, but in a good way.

Miss Gringeri, our Head Teacher, always makes sure we maintain high standards as we prepare for upcoming events. As a school, we take part in loads of extracurricular and social activities that students can get involved in. We also have something called Student Voice – a council where we share our ideas to help improve the school. This really impressed me because I never expected something so organised, empowering, and fun.

Harris Garrard made me feel welcome from day one, and to anyone joining, you’ll be welcomed with open arms too.

My advice to anyone joining... Make as many friends as you can, and always prioritise your studies over everything else.
