Winner in Bedrock Learning School Awards 2026
We are delighted to announce that Harris Garrard Academy has won the Bedrock Learning School Awards 2026 category for largest increase in standard age score (SAS) measured via the Bedrock Reading Test.
For the 102 students that have at least two matched reading tests between September and June, the partnership of Bedrock Learning and Harris Garrard Academy has delivered a stunning 10.3 point average increase for these students.

Every award reflects something important: pupils building the foundations that help them read more confidently, understand more of the curriculum, and learn with greater independence.
Behind every data point is careful implementation, strong routines, teacher commitment, and pupils doing the work that moves learning forward.
Prizes for students
Harris Garard Academy is delighted to have won:
- A Bedrock Awards 2026 winner plaque to be mounted in our school's reception.
- 10 laptops to be donated to selected students to support independent study at GCSE, using the next generation of Bedrock next year.
