Outside of school leadership, I really enjoy playing sports, especially netball, and I love baking too - it’s a great way to relax and be creative. I believe everyone has the potential to achieve great things, and through my role, I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves and aim high. I want to leave behind a legacy that encourages future students to speak up, take on challenges, and always strive to be their best.

DanielDaniel – Head Boy

Hello, I’m Daniel, former assistant head boy and now your, Head Boy. My message for this academic year is clear and has not changed “Levelling Up”. My vision is to take Harris Garrard Academy to new heights by raising standards, expanding opportunities, and ensuring every student feels empowered to succeed.

I am a testament to the exceptional power of outstanding teaching and high expectations. Through the opportunities I’ve been given, I’ve studied at Oxford, worked with the BBC, interviewed the Secretary of State, and taken part in a roundtable discussion with Prince William. These experiences have shown me what young people can achieve when they are supported, challenged, and believed in.

Alongside school, I am committed to youth empowerment, serving as a young advisor on an international board, a young commissioner, a public speaker, and a Corporal in the Army Cadet Force — roles that shape the leadership, discipline, and service I bring back into our school community.

As Aristotle said, “Excellence is not an act, but a habit.” My vision is to make excellence a habit at Harris Garrard Academy – and my message is simple: together, we level up.

LejaLeja – Head Girl

My name is Leja and I'm honoured to be your Head Girl this academic year. My duty here at HGA is to make everyone feel heard – the quiet, the loud, the misbehaved. I can assure you that I will try my best to turn your feedback into real, positive change and to make this school feel like a true safe haven for everyone.

I aspire is to leave a legacy where people understand the true meaning of learning and the power of curiosity. From diving into the works of Shakespeare to understanding the formation of igneous rocks, each piece of knowledge is another treat to minds. I want us to understand that knowledge is limitless and so is our potential. As Franklin d Roosevelt once said, "the only limit to our realisation of tomorrow is our doubts today". With that, I believe no matter the background, everyone has the same capabilities and potential of achieving their dreams.

"The more I live, the more I learn. The more I learn, the more I realise, the less I know." – Aristotle

ChethamChetam – Prefect

I strive to lead with charisma, humility, and respect, making sure every voice in our school community feels heard and valued. I am passionate about ensuring that nobody is left behind, and I see myself as a committed advocate for my peers. Whether I’m supporting others, representing the school, or driving initiatives, I work to create a positive, inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Balancing my national and international football commitments with my leadership roles has taught me discipline, resilience, and dedication. I take pride in leading by example—on the pitch, in the classroom, and throughout the wider school community. Everything I do is rooted in integrity, teamwork, and a genuine desire to uplift others.

“Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude.” — Ralph Marston

MeganMegan – Prefect

Hi, my name is Megan and I am student engagement and events prefect at Harris Garrard Academy. Throughout my time at HGA, I have tried to encourage others, inspire ideas and contribute to making our school a place where students feel included and equal. At my core, I value teamwork, creativity and personal growth. I enjoy taking on new challenges and helping others find confidence in themselves.

I want people to remember me as someone who worked hard, who was a good role model and who made a difference. I hope the legacy I leave inspires future students to be kind, courageous, and willing to step up because even small actions have big impacts.

PrajwalPrajwal – Prefect

I’m Prajwal, and in our school community, the Prefect for Student Engagement. In my time as a student, I vow to help make our school a place where everyone feels welcome and show that everyone has the ability, some just require a catalyst. Therefore, I wish be the catalyst for students to not only show their talents but also freely express themselves as people.

Outside of school I spend my free time at the gym, improving my computer skills or practising public speaking. I believe that expressing yourself clearly is one of the most powerful skills you can have, and therefore I will leave behind a legacy that enables those who feel as they aren't heard to carry their own embers and become an active member of our larger body.

MichaelMichael – Prefect

My name is Michael and I am your Community and Events Prefect. I am here as your schools prefect not only to be a leader but to serve as your supporter during tough times. I used to be in doubt of myself, but now I aim to strive in any setting and lead with confidence and example. I am proud to have created Harris 360 with my fellow prefect Rihannat which involves the whole school sharing ideas and positive feedback and creating a topical relatable video to share.

I would like to pose a question, “What heights could you reach if you allowed yourself to be confident?

RihannatRihannat – Prefect

Hi, I’m Rihannat, and being a prefect has been all about showing up for people and making school feel like a place where everyone belongs. I’ve tried to lead with kindness, confidence, and honesty whether that meant helping someone find their feet, speaking up when it mattered, or just being someone others could rely on. My legacy as a prefect is to create a positive school environment, encouraging others to believe in themselves and proving that leadership isn’t about being perfect, it’s about caring and trying your best every day. I would like to end it off with this empowering quote.

"Leadership is not about being in charge. It's about taking care of those in your charge." -Simon Sinek

SahibjotSahibjot – Assistant Head Boy

My name is Sahibjot, and as Assistant Head Boy at Harris Garrard Academy, I aim to lead with responsibility, inclusion, and respect. I will amplify student voice, celebrate achievement beyond grades, and help build a school where everyone feels valued and heard. I want everyone to enjoy their time at Harris Garrard Academy. My goal is to leave a legacy of kindness, resilience, and ambition where every student is empowered to grow and thrive.

AdeleAdele – Assistant Head Girl

As Assistant Head Girl of this school I am dedicated to strengthening whole‑school communication and helping every student feel informed, included, and respected. I believe that a thriving school community is built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to supporting one another. In everything I do, I aim to model these values and encourage others to do the same, in both their academics and everyday life.

Resilience and rigour guide my approach to leadership. Whether I am supporting student council projects or helping to organise events, I bring determination, positivity, and a readiness to take on new challenges. I want every student to feel empowered to push themselves, learn from setbacks, and celebrate their progress.

Looking ahead, my aspiration is to help create a school environment where everyone has a voice and feels confident using it. I want students to know that their ideas matter, their experiences matter, and that speaking up can shape real change.

I am proud to represent the school and contribute to a culture where communication is open, expectations are high, and every member of our community is encouraged to thrive.
