Virtual Learning Resources

We want you to be able to access all the support you need while studying from home. This page explains how we will make available the resources you need.

Student SharePoint. All students will be able to use SharePoint to access their online learning resources. Please view and download your files from the link below. If you need help, please see our how to access SharePoint guide.

Click here to view our virtual learning resources folder.

Microsoft Teams. We are also planning to use MS Teams for students in Years 10-13. Your classes, subjects or year groups are already allocated in MS Teams, so there are lots of study materials and lessons for you to access there. You can download MS Teams onto your devices at home and your mobile for free. View or download a guide on how to access email, OneDrive, Teams and other Office 365 apps.

Please do remember our etiquette for remote learning and how we interact to support one another.

How many hours should I study each day?

The table below shows the number of hours you are taught in school each week. This will give you (and your parents) an idea of how long you might typically spend learning on an average day while not at school.

Years 7-9 spend 23 hours a week learning at school – which works out at just over 4.5 hours a day. In addition, you need to bear in mind that when at school you spend additional time each week doing homework.

Years 10-11 spend 28 hours a week learning at school – which works out at just over 5.5 hours a day, plus whatever time you might spend doing homework.

We know that you will need time to adjust to a new way of working and we’re committed to helping you as much as we possibly can. But it might be helpful to bear these numbers, as a guideline to how long you might study each day.
