Meet Our Student Leaders

RitsonRitson – Senior Head Student

My name is Ritson and as your Head Student at Harris Garrard, I will strive to inspire love for the school community that has been slowly built over the years that I have attended, through fostering student voice wherever I can.

As this is a place where you spend almost all of your time, I hope that I can make it a true representation of each and every student. In doing so you will be able to leave with a fulfilling education and knowledge of the world around you.

During my time as Head Student I aim to leave behind a legacy of hardworking, resilient and incredible students who stop at nothing to achieve the dreams that they have for their academic journeys.

AnneAnne – Vice Head Student

Hi, my name is Anne, and I’m proud to be the Vice Head Student at Harris Garrard Academy. I’m passionate about making our school a welcoming and inclusive place where every student feels supported, respected, and heard. One of my main goals in this role is to be a strong voice for all students and make sure your ideas, concerns, and experiences are represented.

Outside of school leadership, I really enjoy playing sports, especially netball, and I love baking too - it’s a great way to relax and be creative. I believe everyone has the potential to achieve great things, and through my role, I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves and aim high. I want to leave behind a legacy that encourages future students to speak up, take on challenges, and always strive to be their best.

I want to create spaces within school, where different cultures are celebrated equally, while still staying true to our school’s values and motto.

My legacy would be making a real difference in how people experience school life, where students feel they belong, are respected, and are encouraged to do their personal best. Something I live by is: “Everyone has a different definition of their best,” and I want to help create a school environment where everyone can reach their own version of that.
