Primary - Covid-19 Updates for Parents

We are delighted to have our primary students back with us.

All arrival and dismissal times have been staggered to make sure each entrance/exit gate can be used by a single year group in 15 minute intervals. Teachers will be on hand to help move students through wash stations, where students will wash their hand.

Further details of the arrival and dismissal arrangements for each year can be found below.


Reception

All students will arrive through a single gate and enter classrooms directly from outside area. On entry they will use the classroom sinks to wash hands before heading into class. On dismissal students will have hands washed in class groups line up outside by exit gate for dismissal.

Movement to playground

The EYFS playground is in the centre of the EYFS area of the school and has direct access from the two classrooms negating the need for classes to mingle.

Lunch

EYFS have a staggered lunch allowing for up to 45 minutes for students to move through the dining hall and lunch halls to allow for both classes to eat within their own bubbles.


Year 1 and 2

All students will arrive through a single gate and enter classrooms directly from KS1 playground. On entry they will use the classroom sinks to wash hands before heading into class. On dismissal students will have hands washed in class groups line up outside by exit gate for dismissal.

Movement to playground

The KS1 playground has direct access from three of the four classes with the final class having sole use of the corridor to the playground. Year groups have staggered playtimes allowing for zoned use to keep class bubbles.

Lunch

KS1 have a staggered lunch allowing for up to 30 minutes for students to move through the Dining Hall and Lunch Halls to allow for both classes to eat within their own bubbles as well as a rotating playground usage within zones.


Year 3 and 4

All students will arrive through single gate and use mobile wash stations next to the primary reception. From here they will be escorted through primary reception and up to the Year 3-4 corridor.

Movement to playground

Year 3 and 4 students have staggered playtimes to allow the use of KS2 and tennis court playground zones.

Lunch

Year 3 and 4 have a staggered lunch allowing for up to 30 minutes for students to move through the Sports Hall and Lunch Halls to allow for both classes in each year group to eat within their own bubbles as well as a rotating playground usage within zones.


Year 5 and 6

All students will arrive through a single gate and use the wash stations outside the KS1 playground. Each year group has a staggered start time and will then enter the school through the 5-6 stairway.

Movement to playground

Year 5 and 6 students have staggered playtimes to allow the use of KS2 playground zones.

Lunch

Year 5 and 6 have a staggered lunch allowing for up to 30 minutes for students to move through the Dining Hall and Lunch Halls to allow for all three classes in each year group to eat within their own bubbles as well as a rotating playground usage within zones.
