We recently hosted our last Project Thamesmead event of the year. Focusing on the Olympics with running, throwing and jumping events. It gave over 110 children from 3 primary schools the opportunity to represent their school and excel!

🌿✍️ Poetry meets nature! Guided by poet and educator Esme Allman, students explored the Conservatory  through a creative lens. Through metaphors, descriptive language, they crafted their own eco-poems—blending art and nature in a truly inspiring workshop. 🌱📖

Changes to Our Primary Leadership Team

Dear Parent/Carer

Re: Leadership in the Primary Phase

It gives me great pleasure to write to you today, to inform you of a number of exciting changes in the Senior Leadership Team at the Academy.

Following a national advert and a rigorous interview process, Mr Ben Sheppard has been appointed to the role of Head of Primary.  Many of you will already know Mr Sheppard, who has served the Academy well as Vice Principal, and will continue his good work in the primary phase.  Mrs Perry will continue to support in the primary phase in her role as Executive Principal – Primary All-through, and will be working closely with Mr Sheppard, as he takes on his new role.

In addition to this appointment, I would like to welcome Mr David Church to the Academy.  Mr Church has been appointed as Senior Vice Principal, having previously been a Primary Consultant for the Harris Federation and will bring his depth of experience to the primary team.

I am also very excited to share with you, that primary Vice Principal, Francesca Woods is expecting, and as such will be going on maternity leave from 20th November 2020.  I am sure you will join me in wishing her all the very best.
