HGA 7 Harris Orpington 0 - Year 10, Harris Cup

FootballThe Year 10 team faced Harris Orpington in the first round of the Harris Cup and got off to a flyer.

Within five minutes Ayo made a run on the right hand side of the pitch from the halfway line outpacing the defence to break into the area and unleash a well driven strike into the bottom far corner of the net making it 1-0 to HGA.

Confidence high

The boys confidence was high and on the ten minute mark it was Ayo again who found the back of the net making it 2-0 to HGA. Harris Orpington had a few half chances in the first half, but Eimantas was solid between the posts and showed safe handling.

Credit must go out to our defence who looked in control of the game from the start.  Samuel, Dorian and Raphael in the defence did not put a foot wrong.

The game was posed at 2-0 at half time and having made a few changes to go more attacking, this seemed to work wonders.  Dany came into the back line and again was solid and we pushed Samuel forward to create a massive threat to the Harris Orpington.  His distribution was excellent and he put Ayo in to score his hatrick. Goals from Taffeeq, Seun, Shane and another one from Ayo wrapped up a nice 7-0 win.

Well done boys, a superb performance and into the next round of the Harris Cup
