Shakespeare Showcase Performance For Year 9

Year 9 students travelled to Harris Academy Peckham recently to take part in the Harris Federation Shakespeare Showcase, an opportunity for selected Year 9 students to perform extracts of Shakespeare. 

William shakespeareThe showcase was a celebration of Shakespeare, Drama and English! It allowed like-minded students to come together and share their love for performing. 

We took a taxi to Harris Peckham and were given some time to rehearse. We entered the theatre and took our seats, before each group planned their technical rehearsals. This was run as a full show to those participating and their teachers. They then performed their segments to each other and supported each other.

This gave some of our Year 9s the opportunity to experience Drama, develop their communication skills and start them on the journey to understanding how theatre is created.
