Co-Curriculum Opportunities
At Harris Garrard Academy, we complement our academic curriculum with extensive co-curriculum opportunities to support students' wellbeing and also improve and diversify their skills.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to the whole-school co-curriculum programme, our sixth formers also benefitted from:
- Free membership to our on-site gym
- Annual international trip
- Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
- Preparation for adult life courses including: driving (students receive a free driving theory test and, once passed, the first driving lesson is paid for by the school); finance management; and stress management.
- One-to-one university application support
- Harris Experience Advanced
- One-week work experience.
Due to the current challenging circumstances, some of these opportunities have had to be stopped, but as soon as we are able to return to normal, these activities will be offered again.
During the school closure we were able to continue with:
- One-to-one university application support
- Harris Experience Advanced
