Finding Your Feet - Young Minds

Transition is a massive step up. On this page you can learn how to Find Your Feet with Young Minds

‘Entering secondary school can be a daunting and stressful experience for some young people. For those who are struggling to cope, the transition to secondary school may see the emergence of underlying mental health problems and therefore additional understanding and support is needed at this pivotal point.’  YoungMinds

The YoungMinds Find Your Feet programme helps children to manage the transition from primary to secondary school by providing information and support about the changes and challenges associated with moving into year 7.  The programme also focuses on maintaining positive mental health and wellbeing. This is something that students will learn a lot more about in year 7.
